Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a cosmetic tattoo technique that uses specialised micro-needles to deposit medical-grade pigment into the scalp. Each dot replicates the appearance of a natural hair follicle, creating the look of thicker, fuller hair or a clean, freshly shaved head.

About SMP

That's the whole point. They won't. We custom-match every dot to your natural follicle size, skin tone, and hair colour. Most clients tell us their friends and colleagues say they "look well" or ask if they've changed their hairstyle, but nobody can pinpoint why. The change is subtle, natural, and entirely yours.
Most clients rate the discomfort at 2 to 5 out of 10. It's more of a light scratching sensation than pain. Many relax, listen to music, or even doze off during their session. Numbing cream is available for anyone with lower pain tolerance. Areas like the temples can feel slightly more sensitive, but it's temporary and very manageable.
Very different. SMP uses finer needles, shallower depth, and medical-grade pigments that are specifically formulated for the scalp. Traditional tattoo ink can spread, change colour, or look unnatural over time. SMP pigments are designed to fade gradually and naturally, softening over the years without turning blue or green. It's a clinical procedure, not body art.
Absolutely. Women's SMP doesn't require a shaved head. The treatment adds density through your existing hair, reducing visible scalp along your part line, crown, or temples, and creating the appearance of fuller, thicker hair. It's one of our most rewarding treatments because so many women have suffered in silence with hair loss that doesn't get the attention it deserves.
SMP is built gradually over multiple sessions. Nothing is final after session one. You see progress at every stage and have input on your hairline shape, density, and colour throughout. If for any reason you ever want to remove SMP, laser removal is effective and typically requires only a couple of sessions. But for most clients, the only regret is not doing it sooner.
Results typically last 4 to 8 years with proper care. Over time, the pigment softens naturally as your skin regenerates. A simple touch-up session every few years freshens the colour and density. We include a follow-up session within 12 months of your treatment to ensure your healed result stays exactly where you want it.
